VICKI AND MARTIN DE VILLIERS 30 APRIL 2011
Martin and I met in September 2008 on an internet dating site. After 3 weeks of regular email communication we finally met face to face and we have been happy in each other's company ever since :)
I am a musician and had played at the River Lodge for a wedding in 2010 and so of course when Martin and I got engaged in October 2010, the Umtamvuna River Lodge immediately came to mind. Martin and I both enjoy the relaxed outdoor atmosphere and I was excited for him to see the Lodge and its beautiful surrounds.
We met with Nicole in November 2010 and immediately Martin was as taken with the venue as I was. So we booked for 30th April 2011and then the planning was about to begin!
Nothing was too much trouble for Nicole and Kevin and the staff at the lodge before and over the time of our wedding. Even the special catering requirements were sorted and all the guests commented on such a beautiful setting for a wedding venue. We were married on the beach area complete with pews and the arch and we signed the register in a lovely covered area near to the ceremony. We had a lunchtime wedding that lasted until 10pm that evening.
We would like to thank Nicole and Kevin and all of the staff for such a special wedding day. A day to be treasured for many years to come.
